Induna Safaris is a family-owned and operated hunting outfitter in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, built on generations of hunting, farming, conservation and a deep respect for the land.
Today, Kelvin and Denise Milsom live at Induna Safaris with their two sons, Kyan and Taigen, and continue a family legacy that has been shaped by the same land for generations.
Kelvin and Denise are the third generation of the family to hunt and farm on this property. Long before Induna Safaris existed as a hunting operation, the land was already part of a story of exploration, farming, wildlife and life in the Eastern Cape bush.
Over the years, knowledge of the land has been passed down from one generation to the next — where animals move, how the seasons change, how the veld responds to rain, and how important careful management is to maintaining healthy wildlife populations and good-quality animals.
That understanding of the land remains at the heart of Induna Safaris today.
In 2007, Kelvin and Denise began the journey of creating Induna Safaris.
They took the original family home and gradually transformed it into the comfortable hunting lodge it is today, while preserving the character and history of the property.
The land and wildlife had already been carefully managed and conserved by the generations before them, giving Kelvin and Denise a strong foundation on which to build their hunting operation.
Kelvin completed his Professional Hunter qualification, and together they obtained the required outfitter certification, completing the necessary examinations, inspections and legal requirements to operate professionally in South Africa.
From those early beginnings, Induna Safaris has grown into the family-run hunting operation it is today.
Because we live here, farm here and raise our family here, this is much more than a hunting property to us.
It is our home.
The land, the wildlife, the changing seasons, the people who work alongside us and the guests who return year after year are all part of the story of Induna Safaris.
Many of our hunters arrive as clients and leave as friends. Some return again and again, becoming part of the wider Induna family and adding their own stories to those already connected to this land.
The legacy we inherited is something we are proud to continue — conserving the land, managing the wildlife responsibly and sharing an authentic South African hunting experience with those who come to hunt with us.
At Induna Safaris, the story has been unfolding for generations.
