Headed out this morning to see what we could see, despite the howling wind. We spotted two kudu bulls with a group of cows, we put a stalk in for about 800m, whilst waiting for the Kudu,s to move out from behind a small cluster of bushes, the Kudu bull suddenly appeared in front of us at only 83 yards away! Jerry took an excellent shot at the Kudu through the clearing! Briiliant start to Jerry’s hunting safari! Jerry’s Kudu is definitely the quickest Kudu ever shot at Induna Safaris, within the first two hours on the first day.
Spent the afternoon at a waterhole and only some warthogs appeared. On the way back to camp we spotted a group of Impala’s and Jerry shot an ewe for the camp meat.
Great day of hunting was had by Jerry!
Denise and Marlene went to Daniell Cheetah breeding project, and did some wild cat viewing, and got some good photos with the Cheetahs.

No luck in the field today, due to strong winds.

Early start this morning- we did another type of hunting today. We did the cheetah walk, where we did a hunt with two cheetahs. It was a great morning, the walk was very exciting, we saw a large number of animals. The cheetahs attempted to take down a kudu, but unfortunately they were too exhausted and were unable to put down the kudu. They managed to take him down, but he escaped. It was very interesting and exciting to see. Kelvin and Jerry, had a quick lunch at the lodge and headed out for some more hunting. At last light Jerry took a beautiful Blue Wildebeest bull, after a very successful, and well timed stalk. Another great African trophy for Jerry’s wall.

Marlene and Denise spent the day at the Addo Elephant Park, where we saw herds of beautiful elephants, and lots of other species of animals, including some very impressive Buffalo.
Kelvin and Jerry, went out to look for some Impala, Jerry managed to get himself a very impressive Impala ram.

Marlene and Denise, along little Kyan, had a great day riding some elephants. It was such an enjoyable day, doing game viewing from up on an elephant back, where we spotted some giraffe and Zebra. Have a look at the pictures!
In the meantime, the guys stayed home for some more hunting! Jerry is the first hunter at Induna to shoot TWO beautiful Zebra within minutes of each other. One for himself and one for his daughter in law. Both are really good looking animals, and Jerry yet again demonstrated his outstanding huntsmen skills. Another excellent day at Induna!
22 July 2014
Marlene had a relaxing day at the lodge today, Denise and Marlene, went for a long bush walk on Induna’s property, they enjoyed a number of different fauna, and spotted a variety of animals while on the walk.
Jerry went out to get a Gemsbuck today. Some Gemsbuck were spotted about a kilometer away, and we watched the direction that they were feeding in and went around and hiked about a kilometer up a dry river bed, and as they came out the river bed, the Gemsbuck was standing 170 yards away. Jerry made an excellent one shot kill! An excellent end, to Jerry’s African trophy collection with South Africas Foremost Hunting Outfitter.
